It's understandable if you thought Cameron Diaz and Alex Rodriguez had
already broken up, given the report earlier this summer that the two had
parted ways (which was followed by an apparent reconciliation).
But now it's official-official.
Us Weekly says
that "they broke up recently" after about a year of dating (which
seemed to be comprised primarily of a whole lot of working out together
in public).
What did them in?
"She's very busy with her career," the Us Weekly source said. "And
he's had injuries and wants to focus on his game. They're dedicated
professionals."
And now People.com is reporting the news,
too, saying: "They are broken up right now," adding: "They are still
very close. There was always a certain magic between them." Awww.
